Mannford Alternative Education Teacher, Gail Schauer, Named

Mannford High School Teacher of the Year

Originally from Ohio, Ms. Schauer graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in Vocational Business Education. Leaving the snow and cold behind, she moved to Oklahoma to begin her teaching career. She has a total of 19 years teaching experience; teaching grades 6 through adult education at TCC. For the past 15 years, she has been a part of Alternative Education; teaching at the Margaret Hudson Program in Tulsa for 10 years and for the past 5 years as the alternative education teacher at Mannford High School. She believes in alternative education and feels many students make a complete change in their life because they are able to find success in alternative education.
